I'm Moving On Norine Braun

‘I’m Moving On’ Featuring an indie folk-rock sound, Braun naturally infuses a vulnerability into her vocals. The blues-inspired tune also features a stunning mix of the harmonica and the rock guitars. While the musician compares a breakup to the journey she had on her cross-country train trip, the entry still features an uplifting melody and a catchy vibe. She croons about looking out the window for a sign that she can arrive at her next destination in peace. While her memories are still appearing to her, she accepts that she must await her fate, no matter how long it takes." Shock Ya Karen Benardello. Checking in!

"In the springtime hope blooms even in the loneliest forgotten meadow." Angie Welland Crosby

Hi
I hope that this message finds you well and safe during these incredible times. Alice and I are staying safe and are well, taking daily walks, cleaning, playing music, baking and watching movies. What kinds of things are you doing to keep well? The numbers of covid cases are coming down in our province and we are feeling encouraged! I am so grateful for all the frontline workers dedicating themselves and helping people recover and stay well.

Alice and I are going to continue our Monday night home concerts on Facebook for May. People are finding it to be a great connection and we chat in between songs, folks post a question or check in letting us know how they are doing. If you are on Facebook come on by Monday nights 7:05 pm PST at http://facebook.com/norinebraunmusic

I released another new music video for I'm Going Home This song is a cowrite I did with Alice Fraser, the verse melody and first verse lyric came to her in a dream. Alice knows I am a sucker for dreams and dream work and I couldn't resist the invite for working on this one with her! Going home is a feeling that we long for, that place where we are loved, safe, connected and belong. It can be a spiritual place or a metaphor what ever feels right for you. Video designer and editor is çiğdem keser who also did the last video Rock The Rolling. Her work is amazing!

See the new music video here and don't forget to subscribe! https://youtu.be/ykPUK9DlLQQ

Tomorrow Bandcamp is waiving their revenue share this Friday, May 1, to help artists and labels impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic from midnight to midnight PDT .

Don't Miss Out!

"When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully everyone is blessed. " Maya Angelou

Hi norine
I hope you are in the midst of beginning a wonderful holiday season! December marks the first anniversary of Through Train Windows release. And what a wonderful ride this year has been in getting the music out there!  To mark this special occasion I have a very super special for you check it out here.https://norinebraun.net/free-album-shipping-order

I have had amazing support from Creative BC Amplify Program and the Government of BC for this recording and the music video Sleeping Buffalo. I am grateful for the tremendous support from First Peoples Cultural Council and BC Arts Council for the Crosses and Sweetgrass music video too. I have met amazing artists and lovely people on this journey of making music and my heart is so full.

The album has been fortunate to receive stellar reviews including:
"delicious alt-rock with bluesy country hues. Braun’s voice dazzles with its smooth, pristine textures." -  Randall Radic tattoo.com

“Inspired by her 2018 cross-Canada trip as artist-on-board the Riding the Rails tour with partner Alice Fraser, Braun offers up a set of literate and atmospheric folk songs. Sleeping Buffalo sets a solemn melodic mood to open what quickly becomes rocking. The driving boogie of Jerkwater Town snarls while Climbing Table Mountain just pulses with a jazzy undertone. Braun has really great phrasing, smoothly rolling over her varied material.” Stuart Derdeyn The Vancouver Sun.

Through Train Windows is a distinctly Canadian musical mosaic that will send the listener on a journey they will want to take again and again.” Mariko Margetson UK's largest Folk Publication Folk Radio and Vandela Magazine

“Braun injects a breezy, bluesy cool into the realm of folk narration.” Jonathan Frahm - For Folks Sake
To celebrate this first anniversary release I am offering Through Trains Windows as a  free album for you just cover the shipping!!  This offer is available for a limited time.

I wish you and yours a fantastic, loving and joyful Christmas,  a peaceful Winter Solstice and many great things in 2020!
Much love,
Norine
